We really love pets! So much so that we decided to make it a point to provide them the best care & treatment in an environment of love, patience and trust!
So we created Barkway Pet Health.
A beautiful welcoming space with a team of pet-loving veterinary professionals dedicated to making pet healthcare accessible for everyone’s BFFs (Best Furry Friends). With this accessibility also comes a higher level of genuine care for every furkid, and a promise that their health & well-being will always take the top priority. Because, they deserve no less during their times of need. Barkway is proud to call itself a ‘Pets-First’ Veterinary Clinic in Singapore. Dr. Teng Yi Wei
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Teng Yi Wei graduated from the University
of Melbourne in 2009. After practicing in Adelaide, Australia, he returned to Singapore to continue his passion for veterinary care. Dr. Teng enjoys every aspect of general practice, with special interests in dermatology, internal medicine, and general soft-tissue surgery. At home, he lovingly cares for Kitten, a 2-year-old Tricolour, and One Eye, a one-eyed Tabby. His dedication to both his patients and his own pets highlights his deep commitment to animal health and well-being.
Dr. Charmaine Anne Zee
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Charmaine graduated from Murdoch University in 2023. Starting nearly a decade ago as a vet nurse student at Temasek Polytechnic, her love for science and animals even had her dreaming of being a zookeeper! She loves the ever-changing nature of her job, learning something new from her furry patients daily. At home, Dr. Charmaine dotes on Buddy, her big yellow Labrador. Outside the clinic, she enjoys reading, martial arts, and evening walks. Dr. Charmaine’s enthusiasm and dedication make her a vital part of the Barkway Pet Health family!

Meet Atika, our vet tech who graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2016. Inspired by the late Steve Irwin, and having had a love for animals since a very young age, what brings Atika joy is seeing patients return home to their family well and healthy. She enjoys fish keeping, video games, and thriller documentaries.

Meet Janessa, our vet tech who graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Veterinary Bioscience in 2019. She is extremely passionate about healing others and playing a part in every patient’s journey to recovery. She enjoys baking, drawing, and video games in her free time.

Veterinary Technician
Meet Joanne, our vet tech who graduated from Temasek Polytechnic with a Diploma in Veterinary Technology in 2022. Driven by the memory of her husky Cash, she loves making a difference by helping sick animals recover. In her free time, Joanne plays floorball both recreationally and competitively, and indulges in embroidery and gel nail painting

Meet Alexis, our vet tech in training who graduated from Temasek Polytechnic in 2022 and is now pursuing a diploma in veterinary clinical science. With 2.5 years of experience, she loves comforting sick pets and enjoys Pilates, solo travel planning, and true crime reading in her free time.
